Oak top cut waste

Energy prices are constantly rising, so it is advisable to reach for cheaper and more efficient heat sources. Firewood we have included, among other things, are oak top cut waste material. This is waste from logs milling or square edging boards.

Wood fuel in a form of oak top cut slabs 

Wood is a renewable fuel that does not harm people nor the environment, it is available locally and extremely cheap assuming that it is prepared and burnt properly. For this reason, no sophisticated technology with expensive inventions is necessary but basic knowledge of wood handling is simply enough. Oak slabs are delivered in individual packages. Unsorted slabs are gained from processing logs and beams at our saw mill. These cuttings vary in lengths. They are suitable for both ignition and heating. 

Ecological fuel 

The adjective “ecological” is used so often that it means everything and nothing at the same time. Simply calling wood “ecological” fuel discourages uneducated people. Oak slab’s ends are a very effective way to heat a room fast and ecologically. 

Almost half of the freshly cut wood is water. To be flammable, the moisture must be reduced to 20%. For various reasons, people do not do this – that’s why you can see a lot of smoke around some houses. They often throw twice as much fuel as they have, struggling with chimney problems they have caused themselves. That is why it is necessary to add oak cuttings correctly, definitely not to overdo it with the amount. The slab wood is very clean, it does not contain any toxic substances or glue residues. Storing firewood and oak slabs involve keeping it under roof for about two years, but you don’t have to wait that long, because properly prepared and stored wood dries in a few months. On the other hand, wood kept in a windproof place or in closed rooms never dries perfectly and even moulds, and in addition loses its calorific value.
