Oak sunshades

Large windows are currently one of the most popular architectural trends. They are increasingly used in modern villas or houses in the style of a modernist barn.

Glazed walls have many advantages – they are a perfect connection between the living room and the terrace, they bring a lot of light and also warmth to the interior, which is an advantage in the colder seasons. In the summer, however, large glazing can turn a house into a greenhouse that is difficult to stay in. You can reduce the temperature in the interior with air conditioning. The shading is then solved by outside oak sunshades. They offer a solution to elegantly stop the sun’s rays before they hit the window area.

Fixed shielding elements

Oak sunshades are sliding or fixed shading elements. Due to the exposure of the material to direct sunlight, this wood must be of high quality. When used correctly, it ensures a temperature up to ten degrees lower in the interior.

Sliding oak sunshades consist of a door blind and a rail. Not only will they shade the glass façade, but they are also an elegant way to separate the terrace from the garden or create a nook that protects you from sitting in front of your neighbours.

The wood is dried to the required humidity that will protect it from bad weather. Sunshades need to be regularly impregnated so they are protected from wood-destroying insects and fungi.
