Oak parquet blanks
Oak blanks are used for the production of solid floors, cladding decks and also parquets. Parquets are a standard material for floors with a quite long tradition.
They are popular not only for their interesting appearance, but also for easy maintenance. The top tread layer can create any pattern. The parquet is a planed rectangular blank of wood also called a frieze. Oak parquet blanks have a simple type of lock around their perimeter, the so-called spring and groove, and there are longitudinal notches on the non-visible underside.
Oak parquet blanks and their characteristics
Oak parquet blanks are available in various dimensions. There are no specific dimension, so it is up to each producer, what dimensions he delivers. However, an important parameter is the thickness of the parquet. Oak parquet block blanks must be made of wood that is dried at an optimal temperature. That is the only way to ensure a long life service and durability. They are characterized by good thermal and acoustic properties and an easy installation.
The oak parquet blanks we supply are made of solid wood, which is cut into slats and their dimensions are usually from 200 to 450 mm (length), 30-100 mm (width) and 13-22 mm (thickness). The slats are joined by a tongue and groove, usually glued to the ground and arranged in various patterns. The most popular of these are herringbone, chessboard and brick. Properly maintained and cleaned parquet floor is very durable and thanks to the thickness of the floor can be renewed many times if necessary.
