Oak bridge decks and their functions 

The task of the oak bridge deck is to transfer the effects of the load from the bridge superstructure to the main load-bearing structure. Oak bridges can act independently or can be a static part of the main supporting structure. The deck is made of a reinforced concrete or orthotropic slab. 

Oak bridge decks are divided according to their position with respect to the supporting structure into lower, upper, middle and suspended or supported. According to the nature of the design, they are divided into elemental and slab ones.

Bridges 

One of the most common types of bridges is a girder bridge, which includes the decks of an oak bridge and is used to overcome obstacles up to a maximum length of 33 meters. Other bridges are divided according to the type of transport – road, city, motorway, railway, tram, combined or combined (for road, rail – including rail – and sometimes for pedestrians), footbridges or inspection bridges and finally industrial bridges and special, for example a canal, water, aqueduct, weir, etc.
