Oak timber torrent control

Wooden planks for torrent control of streams and waterways has been a part of our production since the second half of the 19th century. Wooden dams are made of oak logs with a diameter of 20-30 cm assembled into a vertical wall which is then attached to the piles. This oak timber frame barrier can be smaller but actually a structure with larger construction. The advantage is the use of local materials where we produce the oak timber torrent control from domestic woody plants. 

Log cabin and timber framing barriers

In this type of oak timber framing, the construction is made of wooden logs and filled-in with some kind of non-structural material known as infill. It consists of two or more walls of longitudinally and transversely laid logs. The space between logs is filled with stones. This oak timber frame allows the use of local material so the building fits easily into the landscape and it does not disturb its appearance. This construction is used to collect sediments.

A high quality oak wood is used for the production which is a suitable choice for water constructions. When in contact with water, this wood stays strong and stable for many years.
