Wood is a material with a long service life and it is one of the most effective construction materials. Before being used for the production of an oak structure, which will be used on the construction site, we dry the wood to moisture that corresponds to the climatic conditions in the realized structure. This is the only way to prevent later failures of wooden structures.

The most common defects of an oak construction 

Wooden oak constructions undergo many adverse conditions that significantly affect their features. For example, footbridges, terraces, stages, arches, columns or other structural parts are exposed to great influences. The wood most often dries out or swells which causes length and volume changes of structural parts. The individual constructions must have a suitable load capacity to avoid deformation of the supporting constructions. Adverse effects of the transport and assembly can cause later damages. So it is necessary to observe the correct storage and the transport of structural elements. A problem also occurs in a case of unqualified interventions and modifications which will subsequently affect the structure.
