Oak bridge beams

Nowadays, mainly glulam timber is used. The advantage is the possibility of producing structural elements of larger dimensions. In addition, this wood has better characteristics in comparison with board or edged lumber. New fasteners, new technological processes for wood processing and improvement of its mechanical properties have been developed. 

Wooden bridges and footbridges are divided into covered and uncovered. The roofing of the bridge increases the structural protection of the wood and extends its service life. It is a very simple and effective way how to achieve this.
