Oak boards for ceiling tiling
The interiors in buildings have been covered with wooden ceilings for centuries. The wood not only had a structural function (it forms the material from which the beams were made), but it also formed the material of the interior visible from below. The use of wood in the layout of rooms, even today cannot be overestimated. Oak floorboards warm the interior and give it a cosy character.
The lighter shades of wood on the ceiling optically enlarges the room and this typical golden colour enhances the sun reflection during the day. On the other hand, it works interestingly in the Scandinavian style. Oak boards not only correspond perfectly to the brick and rustic, Provencal style and but even with white minimalist walls. The boards are made of solid wood with a tongue and groove, they are milled into various profiles, thicknesses and lengths. They are variously shaped on the front side and on the reverse side they may have small grooves that prevent them from twisting.
Oak boards for ceiling tiling
The wooden ceiling is a clear choice for a rustic style. The natural beauty of wood goes perfectly with a brick wall, ceramic tiles and stones. Village houses used to have wooden ceilings, in which the lower layer of beams did not have to be recessed to the ceiling. The wooden beams could be profiled or richly carved. However, not everyone can have a classic wooden ceiling at home, so it is possible to use oak boards for ceiling tiling, which can partially replace the wooden ceiling.
It is very important to think carefully about the arrangement of the panelling and its colour. If we do not want to optically reduce the room and we opted for oak boards, the colour of the walls should be similar to the colour of wood or even lighter. If you only cover the ceiling, you can also choose a darker colour of wood, which in combination with the white wall will create an attractive contrast.
